SHE/HER
Life can be filled with challenging, yet beautiful moments when we are truly present in our day to day lives. I believe that we can take each opportunity to learn, grow, and cultivate joy to help us feel better connected to others, ourselves, and the world around us. I am passionate about working with those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders & disordered eating, self-esteem issues and life transitions. My approach primarily uses principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of each client.
Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process trauma-related memories, anxiety and other concerns. These distressing moments can make us feel “stuck” in our lives and this evidence based therapy helps with processing trauma, PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders.
I emphasize the importance of collaboration, compassion and connection as I support you on your journey to overcome any obstacles that do not align with your values and goals. I enjoy working with adults and adolescents (14 years and up), including all genders, sexual identities, races, ethnicities, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
