Celia Fox is a graduate student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she is working on her MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health. Celia enjoys working with young adults and adults to help them meet their counseling goals. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the process for Celia and she believes clients are the expert on their own lives. She is here to support and be present with clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
Celia approaches counseling from a Person Centered and Feminist Theories and uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help her client find skills for their everyday life. She is interested in working with people of all backgrounds, especially women, the LGBTQIA population, people with body image and eating concerns, and anyone who has expressed trauma. Celia is committed to being non-judgemental, warm, kind, and inclusive in the counseling space. She works to make sure each client feels a sense of safety and trust so that they are free to share. Celia hopes clients leave counseling feeling empowered in their own lives and choices.
