Katie Fry (she/they) is a graduate student at The University of Missouri-Kansas City working on their MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health. She is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent adults as well as adults of all races, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Katie truly enjoys working with individuals struggling with ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
Katie primarily utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in hopes of providing a safe, collaborative client-tailored environment that promotes the acceptance and change of unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Katie understands the importance of radical authenticity, curiosity, and openness in the establishment and fortification of all healthy relationships. Through trauma-informed practices, Katie Fry emphasizes the importance of incorporating one’s identity, family system, attachment style, and values, as she helps them in the navigation of their life.
