
Rachel Mintz is a graduate student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City working on her MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health. Rachel is passionate about counseling adults and teens using evidence-based counseling modalities. She emphasizes the therapeutic alliance between client and counselor and stresses the importance of collaboration in the counseling process.
Rachel grounds her counseling approaches in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes that the client is the expert on themselves and that the counselor’s role is to guide them in making decisions that align with their values and goals in life.
Rachel believes in making therapy practical and accessible for people of various different backgrounds. She is devoted to providing and maintaining an inclusive and diverse counseling environment where people feel safe to implement change in their lives.
