Breanna Deering

Breanna Deering is a Master of Social Work student providing therapy at Heartland Therapy Connection in Kansas City, MO. She enjoys working with adolescents who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or challenges navigating the many changes that come with growing up. Breanna works with individuals online and in person at our Brookside office.

I believe that therapy should be a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, feel heard without judgment, and can work toward meaningful change at their own pace. This is particularly important in my work with adolescents, when stress and self-esteem can be especially challenging. I take a compassionate and collaborative approach, working alongside clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while building practical skills to cope with life’s challenges. It is my goal to work with you toward your own personal goals.

I can help with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Building self-esteem
  • Mindfulness and emotional awareness
  • Stress and overwhelming emotions
  • Navigating challenges during adolescence

Who my best fits are:

  • Adolescents
  • Individuals struggling with anxiety or depression
  • Individuals looking to build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Anyone interested in developing mindfulness and healthy coping skills

Breanna takes a strengths-based approach to therapy and believes that each client brings unique strengths and experiences to the therapeutic process. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, develop greater self-awareness, and learn strategies that help them feel more confident navigating everyday life.

Breanna incorporates mindfulness and other practical coping strategies into her work to help clients become more aware of their thoughts and emotions and respond to challenges in healthier ways. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works with each client to develop goals that feel meaningful and achievable.

As an MSW student, Breanna provides therapy under clinical supervision and is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for every client. She looks forward to meeting clients where they are and helping them take steps toward feeling more confident, capable, and connected.

Breanna provides in-person and telehealth services, and works with reduced rate, private pay clients.
