Paula Schaaf

Hi, I’m Paula! Life can be overwhelming. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-esteem issues, or just feeling out of place, it can be tough to find a sense of direction. If you often feel like you don’t fit in or are uncomfortable in your own skin, you’re not alone. These feelings are more common than you might think, and counseling can help you find a path toward self-acceptance and feeling comfortable with your authentic self.

My therapeutic approach includes helping you build the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing—your thoughts, feelings, and what you truly want for your life. My approach is personalized by using techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and mindfulness to help you build emotional resilience and find balance.

With over 20 years of experience working with people from all walks of life, I’ve helped individuals address issues like ADHD, Autism, Neurodivergence, PTSD, BPD and grief. Whether you’re struggling to fit in or dealing with other mental health concerns, my goal is to create a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes. If you’re feeling disconnected or unsure of where you belong, I’m here to support you in finding a sense of peace, purpose, and self-acceptance.
